Hello cake lovers. You may remember I mentioned in this post about my shock at winning the weekly cake competition in the online cake school where I am a member. Well, sorry to brag, but to my amazement, I've gone and done it again!!
I am a member of this school because things in the cake world are constantly changing and it is a great way for me to stay up to date with all the current trends and techniques. And as I mentioned in the previous post, we never stop learning so it's good to be able to pick up new skills and ideas and introduce some of these into the cakes that I make for you, the customer. The competition is stiff as there are many exceptionally talented cake designers from all over the world, some of whom are recognised tutors within the cake industry and competition judges at sugarcraft shows, and there are even some that are on the tellybox, so to win the weekly contest is a HUGE thing for me and well worth the bragging rights 😂😂
And my winning entry? Well it was this one:
I made this cake for a little boy who loves The Blue Planet, the recent series on TV by Sir David Attenborough.
